This is a piece I just completed in class, I got this idea from looking on Worth1000. It was a contest that had already ended but i just liked the concept and idea. The contest was called Animal Dreams 5, and you can view it by clicking on this link. I found an image of a construction worker holding a stop sign, and swapped his head out with a dog head. Then I found a construction hat and put it on him. Then i removed the guys hand off the stop sign and put a dog hand on and puppet wrapped it. I also put a dog head on the blurry guy in the background.

This week in class me and my classmate Ryan decided to get an early start on some Spring Luncheon pieces. This is one of my three pieces i did in class this week. In this particular piece, I selected the flower and blurred the background and put down the hue/saturation. Then i adjusted with the levels, flattened it and used HDR. The other pieces i completed i will post later on, most likely next week. Over the weekend i have to think of a new project to start next week.

Our first week back, we had to choose one out of a hundred tutorials. I chose to make a abstract geometric poster design piece. It may look similar but a lot of work went into it. I had many layers and went a little off course than the tutorial. I used photoshop for the whole piece instead of illustrator instead. I used the shape tool and made two hexagons inside each other and copied them. I then turned of the outer hexagon and put a texture over it.

This is what i have done so far with my back light piece. I missed the last two days of class because i was sick and i am behind. I got this picture online and i brightened it a lot. I have a picture that Ryan took of me that i need to select and put in. I should be finished sometime next week.

This week in class we had a pretty easy week. We had a catch up week to work on any unfinished pieces. I was already caught up so i decided to do a contest on worth1000. unfortunately, i did not have time to enter the contest but i did complete my piece. It was a picture of a bird and you could manipulate the image any way you wanted.  So i took the bird and put it in a different environment. I also made everything except the bird black and white.

This week we had to do a cinema graph. It's an image that has certain parts that move and the rest stay still. However we had to do a self-portrait one. So i did myself jumping over a fence. I had Ryan take a video of me jumping over a fence and had him hold the camera as still as possible. Then i went back in and took screenshots of the video and made them separate layers and tuned them into a giff.

This week in class, we had to complete a portrait series of three pieces. Wh had to look at the National press photographers association portrait contest and use ideas from it. We looked at the 1st - 4th place winners. Each had a story to go along with the photos. So, my story is self expression and learning. Like in school you are required to take certain courses, even though they may not interest you. This piece is me walking ht e opposite direction of a one way street. I am going off course of what is expected of me.

This is the second of the three tutorials we had to do. We had to paint someone or a self portrait. I decided to paint a fellow class mate, Seif. I used the cut-out filter as a start to get all the base colors in the face. Then i went back in and added all the details. I used a brush for the hair and the eye brows. i then used the burn tool to add depth and facial features. There was one other piece we had to do wirh painting that i completed, but i like this one more.

This is one of the pieces i was working on this week. The second half of the year we are focusing on photos. We had three tutorials this week and i completed one, the one above. And the second drawing one i am almost completed with. I kinda went of course the tutorial for this one. I used the filters and how to black out the eyes, But i added the scratch to her and played with the contrast of the picture. I added the blood drip and used the burn tool to make her look evil.

Our first week back we had a new project, something we haven't done before. We had to work with portraits. Me, Ryan and cole went around school and took various pictures of each other. We each had to do three portraits, and this is one of the Three i've done. I used various filters and HDR to edit the images. Tis one i used HDR.  I will post the other images i've completed later.

After the speaker we had last week in our assembly, it made me thing about what we are doing to the wildlife. He mentioned the florida panther becoming extinct because of roads that cut off connection between the rest of the continent. So i decided to make a propaganda piece to try and protest to help save the florida panther.

This is the second piece i made this week. The first one was a Hanukkah card i made for the holidays. This piece i made in the style of a contest on worth1000.com However, instead of following the guidelines for the contest, i wanted to do it my own way. I didn't want to use a celebrity so i used a fellow classmate Safe. I put a mini version of him on his lap. I warped his feet to make it look they are dangling. I also used perspective e to make it look more real and i also added a shadow to wee he was sitting.

This week in class we had to do a propaganda piece. I chose to make a piece into a school rule. At Shorecrest, you are not aloud to have tattoos, but if you do, you must have it covered up. So i used a old piece of my class mate Dylan, and made him black and white, an out cast. Along with the rest of the class walking away. The i put some expressions and a catch line i came up with, Personal expression prevents depression. Which in fact i think does. If people cant express your self, infact they will become depressed.

This week in class we could do what ever we wanted. So i took it upon my self to learn something new. I found a tutorial on PSD tuts about the camera raw filter in photoshop. Unfortunately, I dont have the plug in, so i had to go into adobe bridge and use the program from there. I took a picture of my fathers car and played around in camera raw for a class period until i figured it out. Then i played with all the adjustments, there are so many! After I experimented with the adjustments, and got them how i wanted it to look, I put this image back in Photoshop and used HDR on it. I only mildly affected in HDR so it still looks real but also so it looks slightly edited.

This is a piece i made in the style of Zadith Sarazeeya. I took a picture of a fellow class mate Dylan and used him in my piece. I am not completely finished but i almost am. I took him and added the tattoos to his arms and neck. I also put the cigarette in to make him look hard. The tattoos took a while to integrate but i finally got them and i think they look pretty good.  I may add a few more depending on how much time i have.

This is my second piece for this quarter. We had to do a propaganda piece for something we support. I support that you should have the right to have a weapon if you want for protection. It even states it in the second amendment, the right to bear arms. So my piece is supporting that. I have a group of people with all kinds of guns, the second amendment as a overlay, and uncle sam. I then used a soft eraser to make the people come through.

This is a piece i just finished for a project in class. Our project was to make a propaganda piece using our name. My last name, Luper, means wolf. Wolfs are being hunted now legally. So in my piece the hunter is being hunted. The wolf killed the man that was trying to kill him and is now approaching him. I had a hard time making the man look like he fell in the snow, but i finally got it with the help of Mr. Runge.

This is the piece i made for the metamorphosis piece. At first i was gonna do two separate pieces, but then Mr. Runge, my teacher gave me a idea to combined them. I made the elephant at first for a pro-folio piece. The had to come up with a way to make it metamorphosis. My teacher said for me to make the elephant hiding from circus because of they way they treat them. So the Elephant is colorful like a circus. He is trying to hide from the people that abuse him; therefore, he is behind a close line.

This is my pro folio piece i am currently working on. I found the idea on a old contest on worth 1000.
They took animals and put patterns on then to make them circus like. The animals that were used are usually in circuses and have circus themes, so its like a pun. I decided to do a elephant, i am not done yet. I need to make the edges batter and fix it up. I need to darken the edges so it looks like the elephant
 is actually painted.  

This piece i did in the style of Stanislav Odyagailo, for our artist review piece. I chose to write my second review on him and do this piece in his style. He is different than any other surreal artist i've seen because of his unique style, use of nature, and the simplicity of his art. This piece I did in his style was a kind of re-mix to one of his. The meaning is the same, but its illustrated different. I found a skydive plane and selected it out then put it in the sky. Then i took a diver and made him diving into the sky. In his original piece, he had multiple divers jumping off the wings of the plane, I made hime diving out.
